I love farmer’s markets, and the Little Italy district of San Diego has one of the best I’ve ever been to. They shut down several blocks every Saturday morning and hundreds of vendors set up tents with their handmade or homegrown goods.
I went this morning and left with a tote full of fresh little tomatoes, avocados, macaroons, and zucchini.
What’s your favorite way to start a Saturday?
That looks like fun. I worked at the Elkhart fair serving fish and giant tenderloins.
Wow, really? When is that open? I’d love to visit next time we’re up there. The one thing this market is missing is seafood. I saw some shellfish, but that was it.

Ugh, you are SO lucky! I would give anything to have a farmer’s market like that near me! Closest I have is the one at the Orange County Fairgrounds………but nothing as artisinal and truly farm-fresh as that looks. Driving from OC to San Diego once a week is economical though, right?
