Home Tour

In my (fairly experienced) opinion, the best part about moving is decorating your new home.  I love the creative challenge of making your old stuff work in a new space; breathing a new life into things you’ve had for years by using them in a different way.

To me, decorating projects are never really “done” because I’m always rearranging my tabletop vignettes and making little seasonal changes.  But I’m glad that, after weeks of scouring sale racks and thrift stores, my home has reached a level of “done-ness” acceptable for homeostasis.

I thrifted my coffee table, and I know it’s not large enough for the room, but I just fell in love with it.  And it was $15.  So it came home with me.  I think I’ll eventually paint it beige and stick it in the corner where the sofas come together.  I’m dreaming of a grey velvet, or brown leather tufted ottoman for this room… but that probably isn’t going to happen.

The best part of every room is the personalized touches, like these coasters my future sister-in-law made me for Christmas.
