Rosemary Flank Steak

I wish that I could incorporate smells into my blog because if you’d walked into my condo while this was cooking last night, you’d be clamoring for this recipe.  It smells so good.  But it also tastes great.

The marinade is the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, with herbal undertones that just melt in your mouth.  The longer you marinade it, the stronger the flavor will be, so I soak my meat as long as possible.

It is: My Favorite Flank Steak Recipe.  It’s healthy, it’s easy, the only thing it isn’t: fast.  Because of the whole marinating thing.  But that’s not a deal-breaker.  It’s not like it’s active cooking time, and it allows plenty of time for preparing side dishes.  Like mashed potatoes (mmm, steak and potatoes).  If there are leftovers (there won’t be) the strips of steak taste great on a salad.

I got the recipe here several years ago and made a few adjustments to the preparation.  Aside from omitting salt (the soy sauce has plenty), I haven’t made any adjustments to the recipe.  It’s perfect just the way it is.

Make this for dinner one night this week.  Trust me!

*Note on broiling: If you don’t have a broiling pan (like me), you can layer a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet to make a fake one.  I’ve tried it several times and it’s always worked well for me!

Oh my yum. I always crave steak, but I can never think how to cook it in my apartment with no grilled. This technique is great, and I absolutely love rosemary. I will definitely be making this! xo

  2. Another amazing flank steak recipe?! Um sign me up!!! Think I might have to try this one this week 🙂

    • Yes! I was inspired to share this recipe after all the interest in the cilantro lime flank steak. Can’t wait to hear what you think! I actually made it again for dinner last night, lol 🙂

      • I’m going to show John both recipes tonight and let him choose which one we are going to try first. I love the idea of using the leftovers for a salad. I’ll let you know how it turns out whichever we make!

  3. This is going to be dinner soon! OMG. Love the versatility of flank steak and I can smell this through the screen. 🙂
